The show started with a “this is your life” inspired segment hosted by Mark Gordon that walked Christine through her famed, outrageous, and notorious history. Her modeling days, her celebrity days, being a mother, and most of all – being a badass.

Christine Peake had an explosive night. Unapologetic, and all smiles. She walks on stage with a Liza Minelli via 1970s “Cabaret” vibe, all sass and attitude. Within moments the crowd explodes with a “Did she really just say that??” feeling. Oh, she did. And she’s gonna go way further.
Peake razzle dazzles on stage, melting away any “cancel culture” chilly vibe and creating a hot room for big laughs. She pops and shimmies across the stage in a Charlie Chaplin’s classic “Tramp” kinda way, while letting loose on politics, culture, and all the thoughts her audience is thinking, but are too afraid to say — she says them!
Keep an eye on Marisa Sullivan. A veteran of sketch comedy, but tonight was her first stand-up show. Powerful, brave, sensual and funny. She is a cancer survivor and founded Breast Cancer Bandit. She teases us along, slowly going deep, getting real, more vulnerable with her life’s journey. Then, like a comic ninja, she attacks with her biggest joke. Big heart, even bigger laughs.
Greg Baldwin is equal parts “aw shucks, nice guy”, self-help guru and deranged clown. He’s been through alot and he makes jokes through even the darkest parts. One second we’re sharing a cathartic moment, the next step we’re laughing at his zany adventures.

Darrell Hammond continues his reign of making laugh out loud comedy look easy. I’ve seen him live 6 times and every time the room shakes with laughter. Tonight he used the intimate setting to bring some crowd work into his act and the laughs echoed out onto the Sunset Strip.

The Soul Trader is a 12 minute short proof of concept for a feature or series directed by Susan Dynner (Brick, Punk’s Not Dead, Code Blue: A Love Story) and starring Shauna Grace (Real Housewives…, Vanderpump Rules), Shane West (A Walk to Remember, ER, The Dirty South), Donna Mills (Knots Landing, Nope, Origin).
The story follows Coral Chase (Shauna Grace), an occult hitwoman who has the power to steal life-extending souls, which she then sells to vain, wealthy elites like Erica Claessen (Donna Mills), who clings to the crumbs of youth. She’s flanked by stoic bodyguard Damien (Shane West), who ultimately emerges from the shadows as her rival when she’s about to carry out a money-spinning hit at a target’s home and realizes she’s not the only one with murder in mind.

The short film launched at the Cannes Film Festival’s American Pavilion in May and has been gaining momentum ever since.
It won its first award just weeks later at the Manhattan Film Festival in NYC. Then more acclaim at Rock The Shorts in Beverly Hills and DC Shorts in Washington, DC, one of the country’s largest short film festivals.
Now it’s set to screen at many more festivals on the West Coast, East Coast and across the globe.

Located on Pico Boulevard in the heart of Los Angeles, this landmark nightclub was opened by Jewel Thais-Williams in 1973 as Jewel’s Catch One, a pioneering LGBTQ+ disco. Featuring state-of-the-art sound and lighting, the massive venue spans two floors and multiple indoor and outdoor spaces.
For the 12th annual Los Angeles event, Art Beyond the Glass is honored to be raising funds for Self Help Graphics & Art (SHG), which fosters the creation and advancement of new artworks by Chicana/o and Latinx artists through experimental and innovative printmaking techniques and other visual art forms.
Since 1973, SHG has been at the intersection of arts and social justice, providing a home that fosters the creativity and development of local artists. SHG establishes international collaborations and partnerships nationwide and creates worldwide cultural exchanges.

Chef Suzanne Tracht welcomes her long-time friend and colleague Raphael Lunetta for a first-time collaborative dinner at Jar, combining their talents and love of Southern California’s seasonal markets.
Suzanne and Raphael have been talking about doing a dinner together for months.
“We’ve known each other in the culinary community for years and share the same sensibility in our cooking,”
says Tracht.
“It’s rare for chefs to see each other unless we’re at an event, and even that is fleeting. This makes for an opportunity that we know we’ll enjoy, and it’s great for both of us because we can work off each other’s energy and inspire one another.”
The four-course dinner begins with an Amuse Bouche of Sweet Summer Melon with Dungeness Crab with Jalapeno Vinaigrette & Persian mint. Then to share for the table, guests will savor Suzanne’s signature Fried Ipswich Clams with Cocktail & Roasted Garlic Tartar Sauce. Next is Wild Striped Bass & Spot Prawn with Sweet Corn Succotash, followed by the entrée of Westholme Australian Wagyu New York Strip with Weiser Farms Baked Potato, Wild Watercress, Gorgonzola, Tomato Confit & Roasted Balsamic-Glazed Ojai Roots’ Vidalia Onions.
