The Music Meets Fashion 2025 in Santa Ana experience is set to celebrate what a cultural event can be. On Saturday, August 9, The Plug in Santa Ana will transform into a destination for couture runway drama, electrifying live performances, and a cause that resonates deeply with millions — supporting the American Diabetes Association.
Curated by Grammy-considered recording artist Annyett Royale and produced by Royale Records, this annual celebration pairs high fashion with unforgettable performances, proving that style and social purpose can share the same spotlight.
For guests from Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Irvine, and across Orange County, the event promises a world-class atmosphere while spotlighting the realities of living with diabetes. From exclusive VIP access to the debut of Royale’s new single, the night will be equal parts glamour and advocacy.
Turning Personal Challenges into a Global Platform
Annyett Royale was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at just four years old. Her journey from diagnosis to recording artist and advocate is what inspired the launch of Music Meets Fashion in 2017.
“No one talks about how you live with diabetes — they only talk about the severe complications from having it,” Royale says. “Music has been my outlet and my therapy, it’s also been my stage to create awareness and uplift others. I want people to know they can keep dreaming, no matter the obstacles.”
According to the American Diabetes Association, more than 38 million Americans live with diabetes, including over 2 million with type 1. For Royale, this event is about visibility and empowerment as much as it is about artistry.
Honoring the Vision of Jamal Parker
This year’s production is also a heartfelt tribute to Royale’s late co-producer and Music Meets Fashion co-founder, Jamal Parker. Parker, who passed away from complications of type 1 diabetes, helped shape the first event in 2017. His vision of blending creativity with purpose remains an integral part of every show.
The event’s combination of artistry, runway, and live music continues to honor his legacy — one that embraced diversity, cultural influence, and community impact.
A Lineup That Blends Fashion and Vibes
The Music Meets Fashion Santa Ana 2025 experience unfolds from 2 PM to 7 PM at The Plug, located at 1950 E. 17th Street. A VIP hour from 2 to 3 PM offers guests curated cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, and red carpet interviews hosted by Allen Shay of Our Society TV. Exclusive swag bags add an extra layer of luxe to the evening.
At 3 PM, the main event begins with high-energy performances from J.T. Beatz, Dex Elliot, Berkley the Artist, and Kijafa. RJ “Poloman” Johnson will serve as emcee alongside comedian Nicky Simone, keeping the pace lively. The show will also feature the live debut of Royale’s new single “Destiny,” produced in collaboration with singer, songwriter, and actress Lorie V. Moore, who will also make her DJ debut.
Designers Bringing Couture to the Cause
The runway will showcase a mix of visionary designers, each with a distinct perspective:
- Will Franco: Mexican-American couture with ethically sourced collections
- The Jesse J Collection: celebrity-caliber red carpet styling
- Michelle Stevenson’s Mood Art Collection: emotional storytelling through wearable art
- Andrea “Cherri” Dorsey: swimsuitology celebrating body positivity and curves
Additional talent includes Black Rose, Sheek Boutique, One World Peace, Keosha Piper, and Cristina Tenille — all presenting collections designed to empower and inspire.
Powered by Sponsors and Creative Direction
Sponsors such as Salon Success Academy of Corona, Macy’s, Daniels Jewelers, Sweet Butta Cream Products, and Raen Sunglasses elevate the experience. The Plug’s venue donation and contributions from FCI Fashion School and Luxury Multi-Cultural Hair Salon underscore the community’s commitment.
Behind the scenes, creative direction is led by Visual Producer J Pash, with Raven Wilson of CIM Entertainment Group and Lorie Moore joining Royale as producers. Together, they deliver the seamless blend of spectacle and storytelling that defines Music Meets Fashion.
“The American Diabetes Association is honored to be a benefactor of Music Meets Fashion, an event that brings awareness to the lived experience of people with diabetes through creative expression, storytelling, and community,” says Anita M. Dominguez, Executive Director for Southern California.
Where Style and Advocacy Share the Spotlight
“Music Meets Fashion is where art and advocacy walk the same runway,” Royale reflects. “It’s glamorous, it’s powerful, and it’s deeply personal. It’s bigger than the music.”
Tickets are now available through Eventbrite.
For those who value cultural experiences that blend high fashion, live music, and social purpose, this Santa Ana event is more than just a night out — it’s a chance to be part of something that matters.
