Wisconsin Already knows the Big Winner on Superbowl Sunday
When the Big Game rolls around each February, Wisconsin Cheese knows that eyes are on both the TV and what’s on the table.
If you do the cheese math, Wisconsin crafts 600 types, styles, and varieties of cheese, which means there are 600 options for cheese A, 599 options for cheese B, and 598 options for cheese C. The total combinations equal 214 million cheeseboard options, and with 126 million households in the U.S., no two game day spreads need to be the same.
“With friends gathered around the TV and taste buds craving something extraordinary,
Wisconsin Cheese is here to elevate the game day experience
with artisan cheeses for a vast array of cheeseboard combinations,”
Suzanne Fanning
CMO of Wisconsin Cheese.
“Wisconsin crafts 50% of the nation’s specialty cheese, which means The State of Cheese has the award-winning cheeses to make every spread score points with fans of any team.”
Play your starting lineup: an award-winning cheeseboard that will win over every guest’s taste buds. Whether you want to keep it classic or try a creative new play with thrilling flavors, these cheese boards will enliven your snacking array:
- Salty and spicy is a game-winning combo. This Spicy Game Day Board is an easy win for any host.
- Live, breathe, and even eat football with this Bacon Sriracha Cheese Football.
- Don’t forget to hydrate. Try the beverage-inspired Bloody Mary Cheeseboard, featuring all your favorite drink add-ins.
- No matter the final score, enjoy a sweet ending with a Dessert and Coffee Cheeseboard.
Whichever team you’re cheering for this season, Wisconsin Cheese is always a winner during the big game. Wisconsin Cheese
The tradition of cheesemaking excellence began more than 180 years ago before Wisconsin was recognized as a state. With 90% of the State’s cow’s milk being turned into cheese, Wisconsin’s 1,200 cheesemakers, many of whom are third- and fourth-generation, continue to pass on old-world traditions while adopting modern innovations in cheesemaking craftsmanship. Wisconsin has won more awards for its cheese than any other state or country.

WeHo’s Newest culinary experience: Blue Birdy Gastropub Opens on Sunset Strip Near legendary Whiskey A-Go-Go
Sunset Strip’s Blue Birdy Gastropub Opens Near legendary Whiskey A-Go-Go
Located two doors down from the legendary Whiskey A-Go-Go is a brand-new culinary experience.
Blue Birdy offers up some super tasty gastropub fare on the iconic Sunset Strip.
Blue Birdy opened its doors to amazing success in early 2024, due largely to its chef and owner JC Mahdavi.
JC is no stranger to success since he’s been in the restaurant business, having owned Joxer Daly’s in Culver City for many years. His formula is great food mixed with solid cocktail recipes. Joxer Daly’s is an Irish Pub/Sports Bar with a neighborhood feel, a true staple in the culinary landscape of Los Angeles.
He brings that same philosophy to Blue Birdy but with more of an upscale vibe.
Blue Birdy has a French-influenced menu. JC implements his family’s recipes, hailing from France, he knows what good mouthwatering food is and how to create it.
“I want my customers to feel comfortable at Blue Birdy,
a place that they can come to and leave the stress of their day behind,
enjoy great libations and wonderfully inspired gastropub cuisine.”
owner JC Mahdavi
Blue Birdy’s menu includes a wonderful specialty cocktail program, all made from scratch.
The Boom Ba Da packs a nice punch, with its smooth lemon flavor and gorgeous presentation.
Strawberry Fields is a nice refreshing blend of champagne vodka and strawberry puree, almost like a smoothy but with a nice marriage of citrus essences, which has a great mouth feel. Brunch items are huge and super tasty.
Their French Toast is unlike any other, with ube, cream cheese, and sugar-filled, it’s purple and really is amazing. The Short Rib Benedict is comfort brunch at its best, a must-try.
Their Noodle Salad is perfect for the health-conscious diner as well as their tempura asparagus. Entree menu items include Lemon Herb Chicken, Steak and Fries, Fish & Chips, Teriyaki Salmon, and lots of Burgers – all simply delectable.
Whatever you order, you too will be surprised at how great their food is.
The sparkling interior gives you an elegant hipster vibe. The subtle blue flowers that adorn the overhead light fixtures really create a cool, sensual feeling.
Striations of blue linear lines are part of the overall flooring. Highlighted on one wall is a floor-to-ceiling LED flat-screen TV wall, that is guaranteed to bring in many sports fans for those big-ticket games, with many additional screens both inside and out.
Blue Birdy can accommodate inside seating as well as a front street-level patio and a back patio for more of a secluded experience, it’s the perfect spot for a private party.
There are plans for different themed nights. So far, Tropical Thursdays are guaranteed to get your Salsa on. Friday will be dress-up Drag Night, and Saturday is Shabhaye Tehran-LA. With all of the viewing opportunities, any night or day is a sports theme, but whatever the occasion, Blue Birdy will make your Sunset Strip experience one to remember.

Eventually, he moved to the bartender position, where he honed his cocktail-making skills, developing an incredible palate and a talent for layering flavors and textures in a magical way.
Murillo is now taking center stage, running A.O.C.’s bar program featuring seasonally motivated cocktails created to pair with Chef Suzanne Goin’s market menu offerings.
Cocktails are priced at $18 and $34 for a pitcher of Sangria. They are available now and continue through the summer season.
summer chelada 18
skyduster rice beer, watermelon, chamoy, tamarind & lime
Cheladas are the simplest of the cervezas preparadas, or beer cocktails; just beer, lots of lime and a salt rim. We’ve made an even more refreshing version with farmers’ market watermelon, spicy tamarind chamoy and a chili-salt rim. When combined with local brewer,
Skyduster’s Super Dry rice lager, this drink becomes the perfect summer crusher.
Of course, we can always make it with non-alcoholic beer for those who want something “free-spirited!”
red maya 18
mezcal, lemon, red plum & maple
When thinking about a summer mezcal cocktail, we decided to turn to one of our favorite summer fruits, the plum. We love the way the rich sweetness of red plums play off the smokiness of mezcal. We added a squeeze of lemon and a touch of maple syrup to marry the flavors and to create a sophisticated yet refreshing hot-weather cocktail.
california sangria 34
white wine, argonaut brandy, citrus & yellow peach
Sangria just screams Summer! And we wanted ours to scream California. So we started with a white California wine and loaded it with lots of California peaches, California oranges and our own peach liqueur (made from California peaches, ofcourse), and finished it with our favorite Californian brandy from our friends at Argonaut.
Served in a pitcher of two orders each.
bing sour 18
gin, lemon, egg white & house cherry liqueur
Because cherry season comes and goes so quickly, we always make a house cherry liqueur to preserve that flavor all year. To showcase the perfect sweet-sour balance of the Bing Cherries at the market right now, we decided to simply mix our liqueur with some egg white
and gin to present as a classic sour.
kingdom $18
suntory toki whiskey, strawberry aperitivo, rhubarb bitters, orange
While Tochigi is the prefecture in eastern Japan known as the strawberry kingdom, here in Los Angeles, anyone who loves strawberries swears by Harry’s Berries, a family farm started by Harry Iwamoto and whose legacy is carried on by his family in Oxnard. This locally grown treasure is highlighted in Kingdom to create a spirit-forward seasonal cocktail. This combination of strawberry aperitivo, house-made rhubarb bitters and Suntory Toki whiskey is A.O.C.’s nod to a classic Manhattan.
